But as well as cutting the costs, will you be cutting some very important corners in the process?

People often go abroad for surgery simply to save money. For those who get it right, it can be a fantastic experience – you get the treatment you want and potentially save lots of money in the process.

However, not all stories are happy ones… There are some important questions you need answers to first -

• What does the quote include?
• Can I see evidence of professional registration and monitoring of my clinicians and the clinic?
• What are the facilities like?
• Are staff fluent in English?
• What about aftercare?
• Will I spend what I save on hotels and flights?
