Though several A-list celebs have recently spoken out for cosmetic surgery, it seems as though women in the West Midlands needed no prompting, after the region was recently crowned as the liposuction capital of the UK.
A total of 2,046 pints of fat were removed during liposuction procedures in the West Midlands over the past five years – that’s 409 pints a year!
Despite this vast figure, liposuction shouldn’t be confused with weight-loss surgery – the procedure is very much a cosmetic treatment to remove stubborn areas of fat and reshape the body.

A spokesman for Why Go Abroad said: “Boob jobs make up around half of the procedures we carry out each year, with liposuction the second most popular and tummy tucks the third.
“The industry may be changing but these three remain at the top of the list.”
