Hair Transplants - Why Go Abroad?
Hair transplantation today is a simple day case surgical procedures which results
in a very natural hairline unlike the reslts of old style hair transplants many years
ago.
The hair transplant surgeon will take a lot of factors into consideration when performing
a hair transplant, such as the patient's age, the shape of the patient's face and
any expected future hair loss.
How do hair transplants work?
The hair transplant procedure invloves first taking hair from the back of the the
head (called the donor area). The hair from this region is used as lifetime hairs
are usually found here (even in very bald men). These hairs are not as sensitive
to the male hormone that reduces the hair's growth.
The hairs from the donor area are then seperated into individual hair follicles.
These seperated hairs are then transplanted in the balding region of the scalp.
The seperated hairs allow the surgeon to create a very natural looking hair line.
The result of the hair transplantation procedure produces growing, natural looking
hair and hairline.
